Ingredients 2/3 cups sweetwater 1/2 teaspoon allspice 4 cups boiling water 1 pint hulled strawberries 6 limes Directions In a large, temperature-resistant measuring pitcher, mix sweetwater and allspice with the water. Liquefy the strawberries in a blender, strain, and add to sweetwater mixture. Juice the limes and cut the rind into quarters. Add both to the liquid and let sit, covered, for 1/2 hour. Strain through a fine sieve, and pour into a large pitcher filled with ice. Makes 1 1/2 quarts. Per serving (1 cup) : 6 calories o gm fat 18 gm carbohydrates 2 mg sodium |
