Lima Beans In Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 slices bacon, finely chopped
  • 2 cups of tomatoes, cooked or canned
  • 1/4 cup of onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • 4 cups of dry baby lima beans, 2 c. uncooked
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder
Directions:

Fry chopped bacon; remove from pan. Put remaining ingredients into fat; simmer for 25 minutes, or until thickened. Sprinkle beans with bacon before serving.
