Directions Preheat your oven to 400ºF. Put the flour and baking soda in the bowl. Using your hands, work the shortening into the flour until well blended and evenly mixed. Pour in the buttermilk and mix until the dough if formed. Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness on a floured board, cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter, or roll and flatten them with your knuckles. Bake on a greased baking sheet for 10 to 12 minutes or until browned. |
