Directrions add sugar, Crisco shortening and salt to hot milk. Stir until chortening melts and sugar dissolves. Cool to lukewarm/ Crumble yeast into warm water. Let stand 5 minutes. Combine milk and yeast mixtures. Add eggs and half theflour. Beat well. Add remaining flour. Turn dough onto lightly floured board. Knead until smooth. Place dough in well greased bowl. Cover. let rise 1 1/2 hours or until double in bulk. Roll dough into 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into pieces the size of small walnuts. Roll into balls. Toll each baill in melted butter. Place in 10 inch tube pan. Cover. Let rise until double in bulk. Heat oven to 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Turn out onto serving plate. Serve hot and pull part do not cut. makes 10-12 servings. |
