Tequila Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup equila
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 14 teaspoon salt, optional

Directions

Cut wings in half at joint ( or use party wings pre-cut) removing tip and discard.  Combine tequila, lime juice, olive oil, chill powder, sugar and salt in small bowl.  Place chicken wings in glass shallow disha nd pourmarinade over wings.  Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator for one hour or longer.

Place wings on greased broiler pan.  Place broiler pan so that chicken wings are 5 to 7 inches from heat.  Broil and cook 12 to 15 mintes, turning frequently and brushing with marinade as wings cook.  Serve with hot sauce or spicy tomato salsa.

Yields 6 servings
