Baked Cheese Grits Ingredients:
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Stir in the grits and reduce heat, cooking until they become thick, about 10 minutes. Stir in the margarine, egg whites, cheese, and garlic, mixing throughly. Pour the mixture into a 9 inch nonstick pie pan and bake 40 to 50 minute, or until lightly browned o the top. Remove from the oven and cool in pan on wire rack. When grits cool, cut into small squares or diamonds, or use a cookie cutter ofr unusual shapes. Serves 4 .
