| Buttermilk Waffles - Soul Food Breakfast Recipe
Directions: Preheat the waffle iron. Sift together all the dry ingredients. Beat the whole egg and milk together and slowly mix into the dry ingredients, while you add the butter. Whip the egg whites until stiff and gently fold them into the batter. Lightly grease the waffle iron and pour the batter into the center of the iron and cook according to manufacturer's instructions. Makes 6 waffles Per Serving: 238 calories / 2 gm fat / 45 gm carbohydrates / 289 mg sodium
