Truffle Sauce (for beef)

Ingredients:

  • 1 small can truffles, with the liquid in which they are packed
  • 1/4 cup Madeira or dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped shallots or onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups Brown Sauce  or canned beef gravy
  • Maggi Seasoning

Maggi Seasoning, three 6.7 fl oz bottles

Directions:

Saute the mushrooms in one quarter cup butter five minutes.  Turn them occasionally to brown on all sides.  Put the mushrooms and pan juices into the container of an electric blender, add the reamining ingredients, cover and blend unti smooth.  Serve on grilled meats.
