Mushroom Butter

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 cup  butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 ablespoons sherry or cognac

 

Directions:

Saute the mushrooms in one quarter cup butter five minutes.  Turn them occasionally to brown on all sides.  Put the mushrooms and pan juices into the container of an electric blender, add the reamining ingredients, cover and blend unti smooth.  Serve on grilled meats.
