Hot Peppered Crab Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1pkg. (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream with chives
  • 1 can ( 5 to 6 1/2 oz.) crab meat, drained, cartilage removed
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

 

Directions:

Place cream cheese in a 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole.  Microwave at 50% (medium) 1 to 1 /2 minutes, or until softened.  Stir in remaining ingredients,  Increase power to 70 % (medium high).  Microwave 4 to 6 minutes or until heated, stirring after half the cooking time.  Serve with crackers or chips, if desired.

 

Variations:  Prepare as directed and spoon over hot dogs.
