Chinese Style Pork Tenderloin

The tangy sweet sauce of this dish is perfect for serving over rice.

Ingredients:

  • 2 (1-pound) pork tenderloins
  • 1 small clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chicken flacored bouillon granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1.4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 to 1-/2 cups water

 

Directions

Place tenderloins in a large heavy duty zip top plastic bag.  Combine garlic and next 8 ingredients; stir well.  Pour marinade over tenderloins.  Seal bag securely; marinate in refrigerator 2 hours, turning occasionally.

Remove gtenderloins from marinade, reserving marinade.  Pat tenderloins dry; dredge in cornstarch.  Place in a greased roasting pan.  Pour marinade over tenderloins.  Bake uncovered, at 325º for 55 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted in thickes part registers 160º (medium), basting frequently with marinade.  Add 1 to 1 1/2 cups water to pan drippings as necessary to keep dripppings from burning and to form the sauce.  Serve tenderloins with warm sauce.  Yield; 6 servings.
