Pepper Steak with Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients:

¼ c. margarine
2 lb. beef, cut into strips
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 ½ green peppers (strips)
1 (lb.) can tomatoes
2 beef bouillon cubes
 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. water
2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. salt
3 c. wide noodles
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

 

Directions

Melt the butter and add beef, then sprinkle with garlic and powder.  Sauté until brown.  Add onion and peppers.  Sauté 2 minutes.  Add the tomatoes and bouillon cubes. Cook until tender.  Blend cornstarch, water, soy sauce and sugar.  Add to meat.  Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.  Meanwhile, cook noodles and drain.  Toss with cheese.  Spoon over noodles.

 Serves 6
