Ingredients:
2 cups milk
2 cakes yeast, softened in ½ cup water or milk
2 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar
6 tbsp shortening Directions:
(Add enough flour to stiffen dough. Beat milk to
lukewarm. Remove from fire. Add salt, sugar, shortening and
yeast. Stir well; add flour and mix well. Cover and let rise
to double in sizes. Turn out on floured board. Work it out,
and then cut into biscuit sizes. Let rise until double the
amount. Bake at 450 degrees.
