Cheese Melts

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon or mild ustard
  • a pinch of grouond black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon softened butter


Directions

Toast the bread on both sides under the broiler, set at it's highest setting. While the bread is toasting, grate the cheese with a rotary grater. Put the mustard,pepper and butter in a bowl and mix well with a small spatula or a table knife.

Divide the cheesemixture in half, then spread one half on each slice of taost. Carefully put the cheese covered toast under the broiler and leave it for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown. When the cheese melts, remove carefully.

Other Options:

  1. You can put a slice of ham on top of the toast and spread with the cheese mixture and broil.

spreadn about 1 tablesppon canned tuna, drained well over the toast, cover with the cheese mix, then broil.

Put about 3 slices of tomato on top of the cheese mix on the otast before broiling.
