Chocolate Bananas

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana per person
  • 1 1/2 oz. chocolate per banana

To Decorate:

Chop nuts or grated coconut

small bamboo skewers


Directions

Peel the banana and cut into pieces about 1 inch lang. Carefully push a shosrt skewer up through the center of each piece. Wrap in plastic, then freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight. When ready to eat, carefully melt the chocolate in a microwave or in a small heat proof bowl set over a small sa ucepan of steaming water. This steps usually takes about 15 seconds in the microwave, over a saucepan about 1 to 2 minutes.

Unwrap the banana pieces, hold one piece by the stick over the bowl of chocolatge, then spoon the chocolate over the banana to coat it.. The chocolate willset very quickly, so if you want to decorate it, sprinkle with chopped nuts or grated coconut as soon as you have coated the banana. You can add a second layer of chocolate in a contrasting color. Eat immediately.
