Ingredients
Directions Cream butter; add sugar and beat well until light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Shape dough int a ball; cover and chill at least 2 hours. Roll out dough onto lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch tinckness; cut into desired shapes. Place reaisins, if desired. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 mnutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire racks. Decorate ad desired with icing (see above links). Yields about 3 dozen (3 inch) cokies.
