Cream Cheese Spritz

Ingredients

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 (8 -ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
Dash of salt
Red and green deocrator sugar crystals (optional)
Decorator or Royal Icing

Directions

Cream butter and cream cheese; add sugar and beat unti light and fluffy. Add vanilla and mix creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Shape dough into a ball and chill throughly.

Place dough into a cookie press with desired disc; press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle with sugar crystals, if desired. Bake at 400 degress for 8 to 10 minutes or until very lightly browned. REmove from pan and cool on wire racks. Decorate as desired with icing ( see above links) and assorted candies and sprinkles. Yield; about 4 dozen ( 2-inch) cookies.
