Chocolate-Covered Cherries This candy recipe will be a great addition to fill the White Candy Box recipe in this section. This recipe needs to be made 1 week ahead to allow the center of the cherries to soften.
Directions: Bake butter at medium speed with an electic mixer until cramy, gradually add sugar, beating well. Add milk and liqueur, beating until blended. Shape sugar mixture around cherries, coating cherries completely; place on wax paper. Microwave chocolate and shortening in a 2-cup glass measuring cup on high aofr 1 1/2 minutes or until melted stir twice. Dip coated cherries by stems into choclate mixture, allowing excess to drip; place on wax paper. Let stand until firm. Store loosely covered in a cool place 1 weeek or until centers are soften.
