Accordion Heart Cards

Material:

construction paper
scissors
special papers (doillies, wrapping paper, old photographs, sheet music, magazine pictures
glue
water colores/paintbrushes
chart paper

Directions:

Have each student fold a sheet of construction paper into four equal squares, accordion-style. Have students cut heart shapes from doillies, wrapping paper, and old photographs, shet music or magazines and glue one heart to each square.

Paint the cards using watercolors and let them dry. Copy the following Valentine poem on the cards. "This Valentine Day, I've come to say, How special you are, in every way. And if you should think That isn't true, Here is a list Made just for you. Use the last hear of the card to create a list of special things about a family members .
