Halloween Spider Cake

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 18 1/4 ounce box of white cake mix
  • One 4-serving package of green gelatin*
  • blue food coloring
  • chocolate frosting
  • 4 pieces of black licorice
  • 2 big green gumballs
  • 6 little gumballs

Directions

Prepare cake and gelatin according to package directions. Except use 9" round cake pans for the cake. Cut a smaller circle out of one of the cakes to use as a head. Fill the hole left over with gelatin. Place the other layer on top and trim to shape.

To prepare frosting, add blue food coloring to chocolate frosting in a mixing bowl until the frosting is black in color. Frost the cake black. Then use the black licorice as legs and gumballs as eyes
