Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream softened butter; then cream
together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs
and continue to cream together. Next dissolve the baking soda in the
boiling water; mix inot the molasses. Combine the butter and
nolasses mixtures. Stir in the cream and flour, and then beat until
smooth. Add spices, mix well, and pour into the two well-greased
shallow 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake 40 minutes or until springy
to the touch. SErve with Chantilly Cram. |
