Gift Cake

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups butter
1 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
6 eggs, seperated
2 teaspoons vailla extract
4 3/4 cups siffted all purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped citron
3/4 cups pecans chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1 1/4 cups chopped candied cherries

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans with brown paper. Grease pans and paper. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffly. Add spices and mix well. Add the egg yolks and beat throughly. Stir in canilla nad 4 cups of the flour. Sprinkle the remaining 3/4 cup of flour over the citrom pecans, raisins, and cherries, mix, then stir into the batter. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Pour into prpared pans and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
