Peach Cobblers

Peach Cobbler Recipe #1

  • 5 fresh peaches or 1 qt. cannedpeaches
  • 3/4 c. sugar

Peel, pit and halve peaches. Place in a large saucepan with the sugar. Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.


Beat together:

  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg
Pour boiling fruit and juice into an 8 or 9 inch square pan sprayed with Pam. Don't put more than 1/2 inch of juice in the baking pan. Pour the batter over the hot peaches and juice.
 
Melt:1/2 cube margarine.  Pour over the batter in a drizzle. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve plain or with milk, Half & Half or ice cream. Apricots may be substituted for the peaches.

 
EASY PEACH COBBLER   Recipe #2
 
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 c. peeled & sliced peaches, apples
  • or nectarines
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. plus 2/3 c. baking mix
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tbsp. milk

Directions

In 1-quart shallow casserole, combine peaches, sugar, 1 tablespoon baking mix and cinnamon. In medium bowl, mix remaining 2/3 cup baking mix with brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is size of small peas. Stir in milk until moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto peaches. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into crust comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes. 6 servings.

Fresh Peach Cobbler    Recipe #3

  Ingredient:
  • 2 1/2 cups -
  •  fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups -sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon -cinnamon
  • 3/4 stick butter 
  •  3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon 
  •  salt
  • 2 teaspoons  baking powder
  • 3/4 cups milk

Instructions

Slice peaches; add 1 cup of the sugar and cinnamon, then set aside. Melt butter in bottom of 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Make batter with remaining 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour on top of butter. Do not stir. Add peaches and do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler    Recipe #4
 
  • 3/4 c Flour
  • 1 ds Salt
  • 2 ts Baking Powder
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 3/4 c Milk
  • 1/2 c Butter
  • 2 c Sliced Peaches; Fresh
  • 1 c Sugar
  • Whipped Cream Or Ice Cream; Optional
Directions
 
Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Mix with i cup sugar, slowly stir in milk to make batter. Melt butter in a 8 x 8 x 2" baking pan.Pour batter over melted butter. Do not stir
Mix the peaches and 1 cup sugar thoroughly and carefully spoon them over batter.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
 

Peach Cobbler  Recipe #5
 
  • 2 c Fresh peaches; sliced
  • 2 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c Flour
  • 2 ts Baking powder
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 3/4 c Milk

Directions

Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar; let stand. Put butter in a 2 quart casserole; place in a 325 degree oven to melt. Combine remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon peaches on top of batter. Do not stir. Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.


Peach Cobbler  Recipe #6

  • 1 qt Peach Slices In Light Syrup
  • 1/4 c Butter,softened
  • 1 c Flour
  • 1 c Milk
  • 1 ts Baking Powder
  • 1 c Sugar
  • Cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350° and melt butter.

In a 9" (or bigger) square pan, combine peaches IN THEIR JUICE with the butter. Stir together flour, baking powder, milk, and sugar. Pour batter into peaches, sprinkle cinnamon on top and bake till done .
